RSPB Team Member (Cameron's Cottage handy person)

We are looking for volunteers with experience doing maintenance and DIY jobs, such as re-securing furniture fixed to walls, re-varnishing furniture, mending loose shelves/door handles etc. The kind of tasks a handy person could fix easily.

Cameron's Cottage, near Nomansland in the New Forest is a residential activity centre. Between Nov and February there are very few using the centre and therefore the majority of repair/maintenance tasks will be planned for, though there may be things year round that need a spot of care and attention.

This is a rewarding role that offers the opportunity to support the RSPB in a big way. You'll find satisfaction in making a genuine contribution to nature conservation. You will learn all about how the RSPB works and gain experience working for an environmental charity.
