Administrator (RSPB Youth Groups)
Do you want to help save nature? Would you like to utilise your existing office-based skills? Do you have anything from 3 hours up to 1 day a week to spare?
We are looking for a volunteer who can help the Education, Youth and Families team from the comfort of their own home and take on administrative tasks that support our fantastic network of RSPB Youth Groups. Your support will help us to scale up what we can achieve and do more for nature. Our Youth Group numbers are expanding and we need an enthusiastic person who can help with specific tasks to support the management and running of these groups, who engage with hundreds of children each year, enthusing them about nature and encouraging them to take action to help it.
You will be a good all round 'people person', have a keen attention to detail and great organisational skills as well as a confident user of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience of using databases or SharePoint would also be a bonus. The types of tasks you will help with include:
- Monitoring our email inbox and responding to emails from Youth Group leaders
- Updating records and databases
- Booking courses and training
- Compliance auditing and reporting
This is a great opportunity to utilise your existing skills and learn new ones, whilst working as part of a small, friendly team. There is room for development within the role, and we will ensure you receive the training you will need, whilst you learn about how the RSPB works and gain experience working for an environmental charity.
We are looking for someone who has at least 3 hours per week to volunteer with us. The time you spend can be flexible around your existing commitments. This is a home-based role and you can be based anywhere in the UK
