Local Group Outdoor Meetings Organiser (Independent Lady Birders, South East Essex)

The Independent Lady Birders (ILBs) are a self-help and social group set up for single ladies with an interest in birds and wildlife in the south east Essex area. We are a mixture of beginners and experts when it comes to wildlife, with some working and some retired ladies (as well as men since Covid). We have outings and the very occasional lunch together and also endeavour, where possible, to arrange transport for any ladies who cannot get to local group walks or coach trips.

The ILBs meet on the third Tuesday of every month (unless it is a school holiday) at the Belfairs Woodland Centre in Essex for a coffee and chat, and some ladies walk in the woods together.

A monthly newsletter is produced for the ladies who are unable to attend any function to keep everyone up to date with what is happening within the RSPB, the Local Group and the ILBs.
