Specialist/Expert Volunteer (Project Film-maker Loch Lomond)

We are looking for a volunteer to join our team as part of the Wildlife Trail to Loch Lomond project, to help us to capture documentary footage of our work with specialist groups and individuals, reserve visitors and the staff team, and in turn to create content for use on social media and for sharing with internal colleagues and funders.

The Wildlife Trail to Loch Lomond project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project has two distinctive strands that we would be looking to capture

1: The creation of a new footpath linking together two of our existing nature trails, providing direct access to the shores of Loch Lomond via the incredibly beautiful and special habitats found at RSPB Loch Lomond and 2: The development of relationships with specialist groups from West Dunbartonshire and beyond, to deliver activities for work experience, providing opportunities to experience and learn about nature and enjoy a peaceful and tranquil environment. Groups include Tullochan (who work with young people aged 5-25 who have experienced social deprivation), CHAS (who work with children with life-limiting conditions, and their families), Green Routes (who work with adults with reduced learning capacity to develop skills in horticulture) and local schools.

This is a great opportunity for a keen film-maker to expand their existing repertoire, gain a greater understanding of the work of the RSPB and to be closely involved with a special, one-off project.

We will be working with these groups at various points throughout 2021 - 2022, and would hope to capture footage from each of the individual groups. Most activities will take place Mon-Fri between 9-5 but there may be occasional evening and weekend activity. We would be looking for someone who has some flexibility to assist at different points through the project lifecycle and are willing to consider a range of different working patterns to accommodate the most suitable candidate.

We like to think we're a friendly and welcoming team, so you'll have the opportunity to make new friends too. We look forward to hearing from you!
