We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can support our suite of wildlife interpretation on the reserve by engaging with visitors and helping them have a positive and memorable experience. We want to inspire people about the work of the RSPB by showcasing our amazing habitats and wildlife so that they will work with us to save nature.

As a Roving Ranger, your tasks will include some of the following:

  • Reporting any immediate hazards or incidents that need attention to the Duty Manager
  • Calling in sightings of wildlife to the Meet and Greet team in a timely and efficient manner
  • Sharing the history of Titchwell reserve and current conservation management projects with our visitors
  • Talking to the public about the work of the RSPB, what we're all about and asking them if they would like to become members if the conversation takes you there.

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting new people and is a confident communicator. You will need to demonstrate that you have good birding knowledge and identification skills. A friendly face and welcoming smile is a definite requirement.

This is a rewarding role knowing that with your help people can be inspired to protect the nature around them. You will be part of a team invested in the work of the RSPB.
