What's in it for you?
Help bring our group in to the 21st century! This role will suit someone in the Portsmouth area who can see the value in using technology to promote the work of the RSPB. You love helping people enjoy wildlife, so you will enjoy using your Facebook page to find local people who might want to support and possible attend meetings. Because you will be linked in with other RSPB pages, you will get to learn about the wider work of the RSPB on a national and regional level, as well as building new relationships with local wildlife interest groups.
Notes: This role is for RSPB Portsmouth Local Group. Local Groups can benefit from using a Facebook page to grow support for and encourage active participation in group activities as well wider RSPB work. We have a code of practice for using Facebook which we expect you to follow and should help with the management of the page. It is important to represent the RSPB's views and to align with national work. The RSPB is the UK's largest nature conservation charity, inspiring everyone to give nature a home. Together with our partners, we protect threatened birds and wildlife so our towns, coast and countryside will teem with life once again. We play a leading role in BirdLife International, a worldwide partnership of nature conservation organisations. Further information about the group can be found at www.RSPB.org.uk/groups/portsmouth Your time and skills could make a real difference to the work of the RSPB and it would be great if you could join us.
