Visitor Engagement Family and Children Events (Nature Detective)
We're on the lookout for Nature Detectives: enthusiastic and creative wildlife lovers to deliver drop-in activities for families visiting RSPB Old Moor. You might do pond dipping, bug hunting, snail races or storytelling to share the reserve's wildlife with children and their families.
We're especially looking for people for the weekends and school holidays. We're hoping to have a pool of volunteers to cover the sessions so it could be occasional or regular volunteering.
We'd love to hear from people with a sense of adventure and fun, experience with children and good wildlife knowledge (though this can be learnt "on the job"). This is a great opportunity for volunteering as a family.
You'd be a friendly and approachable people person to initiate a conversation with anyone and everyone and share the reserve's wildlife with them. And we'd love to hear your ideas for activities or games or stories to engage families.

The RSPB is committed to making our organisation diverse and inclusive, and, as such, are keen to encourage applications from everyone, of all ethnic backgrounds, as well as those with disabilities.
We look forward to hearing from you!
