Looking to get some quality experience with Europe’s largest conservation charity, engaging with young people and delivering environmental education?

RSPB Sandwell Valley are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Volunteer Learning Intern with excellent communication skills to join our welcoming team for six months. You could be a recent graduate or just changing careers and looking to gain practical experience in this competitive arena. Whatever your background, if you love spending time outside, have some experience of working with children, a willingness to learn new skills and a flexible approach this could be the opportunity for you!

Our internships help people gain the skills and experience needed to start a career in environmental education. You’ll have the opportunity to help deliver an exciting range of curriculum-linked outdoor education sessions to primary aged children. You’ll also be able to work with other members of the team exploring different interests.

Our internships are volunteering opportunities that are created around your needs as much as the needs of the RSPB. You will have a say in your own development, you can work with your line manager to develop the skills you need. You will learn all about how environmental charities work to save nature and start to figure out what area of work is most suited to you.

Closing date for applications: 8 March 2024. Informal Interview date: 15 March 2024. Start date 27 March 2024.
