Micro Volunteering (Calling all Cornish Chough Watcher Volunteers Past and Present!)
Available from 16 February 2022 to 1 August 2022
Have you been involved in chough conservation work in Cornwall?
This year, we mark 20 years since returning chough successfully bred in the county and since then they have gone from strength to strength! This is in no small part thanks to the hundreds of people that have been involved. We would love to thank you all and to celebrate this with as many people as possible by collecting and sharing all the stories you have and photos would be great too.
Perhaps.....
- You were the first chough watchers to monitor the first pair of chough on the Lizard.
- You sat in the red Landover looking out for egg collectors under a full moon.
- You were involved in ringing the chicks.
- You started to graze your land with cattle or ponies to provide essential short coastal grassland to sustain the chough.
- You are the proud owner of a chough watchers T-shirt!
We also want to hear from the many artists and businesses that took the return of the choughs to their hearts and produced all sorts of amazing things.
Send all your stories and photos to cornwall@rspb.org.uk We want to share these publicly so please only send us photos or images that you own and have the rights to. We will keep in touch with you to advertise where and when you can see everything in one place. Thank you.
