Surveyor (Not on a Reserve) (Turtle Dove surveyors - Essex)

Our ambition for turtle dove conservation is big. That includes training a large volunteer workforce to make our collective work as impactful as possible.

We are looking for volunteers with the following skills and experience:

• Knowledge of or an aptitude to learn bird identification skills, including calls
• The ability to read and interpret maps
• Polite nature
• IT knowledge to upload and store records

We want to connect more people to nature and are able to train and support people who are new to surveying and provide all the guidance you need to gain confidence.

You will have a chance to develop hands on experience and skills around surveying. An opportunity to be out in nature and benefit your own health and wellbeing. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your volunteering with the RSPB and play a crucial part in informing our conservation work for Turtle Doves.
