We are looking for volunteers with graphic design skills and lots of creativity for a fun 3-month project.

This role is all about using your digital skills to develop a few useful and fun resources and guides for our RSPB Local Groups to use in their day to day running of their groups and will include ideas for activities, best practice, useful tips and much more. We want to make those resources nice to look at but also engaging and easy to read.

Full induction and support will be provided depending on your needs but in general, we are looking for people with the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant experience and qualifications in graphic design. Students who want to develop a portfolio or practice their skills are also welcome to apply!
  • Knowledge and experience using Adobe Cloud software and especially Photoshop and InDesign. Personal access/ license for Adobe software is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Motivated to use your skills and expertise to Save Nature.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organisational skills, being reliable and able to follow deadlines.
  • A good team player.

We are looking for someone who can spend 3 months (July-August-September) and a few hours per week to develop the agreed resources, following RSPB Brand guidelines.

The amount of time spent on this project weekly will be arranged depending on your availability and how long you think it may take you to complete it. The role is flexible and can be done from home.

This is a highly rewarding role and offers a chance to make a positive impact. You will be making a genuine contribution to nature conservation, so if that is your motivation, you'll find satisfaction in this role. This role provides an excellent opportunity to donate your time and skills to have real impact on our work. You will learn all about how the RSPB works and gain experience working for an environmental charity. We like to think we're a friendly and welcoming team, so you'll have the opportunity to make new friends too.

By opening up our work to more volunteers in this way, it means we can scale up what we can achieve and do more for nature.
