Residential on Reserve (Less than 4 weeks) (Geltsdale)

Volunteers required between Monday 7th November- 5th December, minimum commitment 2 weeks please

Why We Want You:

We are looking for two enthusiastic residential volunteers to assist us with fence removal and maintenance as part of the management plan on this internationally important reserve.

What’s In It For You:

During your stay, you will become a member of the reserve management team and contribute to practical conservation. You will get to volunteer in the dramatic landscape of the North Pennines amongst giant heather-clad hills under huge skies!

This is an excellent chance to make a genuine contribution to wildlife conservation as part of Europe's largest conservation charity.

Requirements:

You will need enthusiasm, self motivation, the ability to work both as part of a team and alone. You should be prepared to undertake sometimes strenuous and repetitive manual labour outdoors in all kinds of weather. You must be comfortable living alone in a remote rural setting with wildlife on your doorstep! Your own transport is recommended due to the remote location but not essential. Accommodation is provided.
