Café Volunteer (Titchwell Marsh)
Our Titchwell reserve gets thousands of visitors each year enjoying its amazing birdlife, and most of them also enjoy some refreshments in our café. We’re looking for people who can help out either occasionally or regularly so we can make their visit even better.
As well as making it a nicer experience for visitors, the money we raise in our café goes towards running reserves and saving special places for wildlife, so it’s a way of making a difference without having to get wet and muddy!
**What you’ll be doing **
- Welcoming customers with a smile
- Taking customers’ orders at the counter
- Helping prepare drinks
- Preparing food such as making scones
- Taking money
- Clearing tables
Ideally, we’re looking for people who can help cover the busy lunchtime slots, but if you can offer a couple of hours first thing to help prepare, or last thing to help clear up then that would help too. We can be flexible to fit around your other commitments.
**What’s in it for me? **
We’re a friendly team so you’ll make new friends as well as meeting lots of people in the café. You will gain new skills as well as experience working in a café environment. Training will be given, and support is always on hand.
We can help towards your mileage to the reserve and of course you’ll be free to enjoy the reserve before or after your shift and see what you’re helping to protect.
So come and join us and help save nature one scone at a time!
