Mae’r RSPB yn credu bod rhyfeddodau byd natur yn ein cysylltu ni i gyd ac rydym yn gweithio'n ddiwyd i greu byd i bawb lle mae bywyd gwyllt, mannau gwyllt a phawb yn ffynnu.

Rydyn ni'n gweithredu, yn dylanwadu, yn cydweithio ac yn grymuso eraill i helpu i ddod â'r argyfyngau natur a hinsawdd i ben, ac i gyflawni gwaith cadwraeth fedrwch chi ei weld o'r gofod. Mae’r elusen yn chwilio am berson ysbrydoledig sy’n llawn angerdd dros weithredu i achub byd natur i ddod yn aelod o Gyngor yr RSPB ac yn Gadeirydd Pwyllgor Cymru.

Gan weithio’n agos gydag aelodau eraill o Gyngor yr RSPB, a chyda rheolwyr, byddwch yn sicrhau bod yr elusen yn gweithredu yn unol â’i Siarter a’i Statudau ac yn rheoli ei gweithgareddau yn y ffordd orau i gyflawni ei chenhadaeth i achub byd natur.

Fel Cadeirydd Pwyllgor Cymru byddwch hefyd yn gweithio gyda Chyfarwyddwr RSPB Cymru i gadw golwg cyffredinol ar strategaeth, polisi, amcanion a gweithgareddau’r elusen yng Nghymru.

Yn y rôl hon byddwch yn helpu’r elusen i gydweithio’n ehangach, i wneud cysylltiadau newydd a dyfnach, i rymuso’r rheiny y tu mewn a thu allan i’r elusen i weithredu ac, yn anad dim, yn cefnogi’r RSPB i fod yn ddewr yn y modd yr ydym yn mynd ati i achub byd natur.

Rydym yn awyddus i glywed gan bobl o bob cefndir, ond mae gennym ddiddordeb arbennig mewn clywed gan ymgeiswyr sydd â phrofiad o weithio gyda chymunedau, mewn partneriaethau ar raddfa fawr, ymgysylltu â phobol, datblygu a chyflawni prosiectau arloesol, ac sydd â chraffter masnachol.

Rydym yn chwilio am aelodau sy'n gallu ymrwymo hyd at 10 diwrnod y flwyddyn i'r Elusen. I fod yn gymwys, rhaid i aelodau’r Cyngor gydymdeimlo â diben, strategaeth a gwerthoedd yr elusen; i weithredu gydag uniondeb a gwrthrychedd, a dylent hefyd allu ymgymryd â rôl gynrychioliadol ar ran yr ystod lawn o randdeiliaid sydd gan yr elusen, gan gynnwys yr aelodaeth, a gweithredu fel llysgennad i randdeiliaid fel y bo'n briodol.

Mae dealltwriaeth o Gymru, ei chymdeithas sifil, ei diwylliant, ei thirweddau a’i gwleidyddiaeth yn allweddol ac fel sefydliad dwyieithog mae’r gallu i gyfathrebu trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg yn ddymunol.

The RSPB believes we are all connected by the wonder of nature and is driven to create a shared world where wildlife, wild places and all people thrive.

We act, we influence, we collaborate and we empower to help end the nature and climate emergencies, and deliver conservation you can see from space.

The charity is looking for an inspirational person who is passionate about taking action for nature to become both a member of the RSPB Council and Chair of the Wales Committee.

Working closely with other members of the RSPB Council, and with management, they will ensure the charity acts in accordance with its Charter and Statutes, and manages its activities in the best way to deliver its mission to save nature.

In addition as Chair of the Wales Committee they will work with the Director of RSPB Cymru to maintain an overview of the charity’s strategy, policy, objectives and activities in Wales.

In the role they’ll help the charity collaborate more broadly, make new and deeper connections, empower those inside and outside the charity to take action, and above all support the RSPB to be courageous in its approach to save nature.

We are keen to hear from people from all backgrounds, but are particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience in working with communities, large scale partnerships, engagement, developing and delivering innovative projects, and with commercial acumen.

We are seeking members who are able to dedicate up to 10 days per year to the Charity and to be eligible Council members must be in sympathy with the purpose, strategy and values of the charity, act with integrity and objectivity, and should also be able to undertake a representational role on behalf of the full range of the charity’s stakeholders, including the membership, and act as an ambassador to stakeholders as and when appropriate.

An understanding of Wales, its civil society, culture, landscapes and politics is key and as a bilingual organization the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable.
