RSPB Team Member (GIS Analyst, Training and Helpdesk Team, Conservation Data)
We are looking for volunteers to join the Conservation Data Management Team (CDMU) to provide support for our Training and Helpdesk tasks. This involves responding to requests from our staff and volunteers on mapping, spatial analysis, data processing and GIS software support.
Volunteer tasks may include some of the following:
- Covering the helpdesk inbox to log support calls.
- Creating maps as requested by staff and volunteers.
- Responding to helpdesk requests on how to use GIS.
- Spatial analysis as requested by staff and volunteers.
This role will require some key general skills, but please note that we will offer full training and induction into this particular area of the business. You will need some experience in the following areas:
- IT skills, creating documents, managing spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with different audiences, internal and external to the RSPB.
- Organisational skills.
