Conservation Officer (Bristol Local Group)
Your help is needed to identify and respond to a variety of issues, developments and campaigns in the Bristol area, and helping to influence external organisations. This could include doing some research and perhaps identifying local spaces/groups who have a specific need that we might be able to help with, whether it's nest boxes or restoration work!
You will be supported by a young and vibrant volunteer group, keen to support local people and communities where possible. And you will also have the support of the RSPB with all our skills and knowledge across our work.
Ideally you will have some skills and experience in some of the following:
- IT skills, creating documents, managing spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with different audiences, internal and external to the RSPB.
- Organisational skills.
- Specific skills will be dependent on upcoming issues and developments.
- Ability to work independently as part of a small team.
This role provides the chance to develop hands on experience and skills in this important area. We like to think we're a friendly and welcoming team, so you'll have the opportunity to make new friends too.
