Volunteer Coordinator

Do you enjoy meeting new people? Would you enjoy supporting volunteers to make the most of their skills and time to save nature and connect people to their local wildlife?

RSPB Old Moor is looking to create a volunteer support team to:

  • represent volunteers
  • champion "Assemble", our support management system
  • recruitment, general enquiries and induction of new volunteers
  • overview of volunteer training
  • volunteer newsletters
  • expenses
  • thank you events
  • annual volunteer survey
  • support line managers and volunteers

If the following applies to you, you might be great for this role:

  • friendly and approachable
  • an excellent communicator
  • a good record keeper and well organised
  • computer literate and confident learning to use Assemble online management system
  • can work with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • you'd like to gain admin/ management experience or put your skills to good use for an excellent cause.

This role is for 1-3 weekdays a week and could be one person or split between several people). We'll provide you with a laptop and office space at Old Moor reserve, Barnsley, plus uniform, travel expenses up to 25 miles each way, line manager support and training to excel in the role. The role is flexible.
