Administrator (Communications Assistant, Internal Communications Team)
Are you passionate about playing your part to end the nature and climate emergency and also developing your communication skills in a leading conservation charity? If so, then the RSPB has a volunteering opportunity just for you.
We are looking for a Communications Assistant to join our Internal Communications Team.
You’ll be helping us to keep our employees and volunteers up to date with latest news and to get them involved and excited about all the amazing work going on across the RSPB.
You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive and fun team. Most of us work from home with occasional visits to RSPB offices and team gatherings which of course you will be included in.
What you will be doing
- Writing and editing stories for our internal communications channels, including our intranet and weekly emailsmonthly newsletters
- Publishing content on our intranet (SharePoint) – we can teach you how to do this!
- Video editing – training will be provided
- Supporting the team to plan and deliver internal communication activities
- Help with administrative support for the Internal communications team
We are looking for someone with …
- Excellent communication skills eg the ability to write and edit clear and engaging stories
- Some technical knowledge and the ability and enthusiasm to learn more. Experience of using Microsoft Office software and video calling platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom would be ideal.
- Good organisational skills and someone who works well as part of a busy team.
- Some knowledge about nature would be great but you don’t need to be an expert!
