RSPB Team Member (Reporting and Analysis)
We are looking for volunteers with reporting and Data Analyst skills to join our Portfolio Office team and help grow our capacity. This role is about analysing and reporting on project and programme data from across the organisation, and interpreting data to provide insights that support business decisions. Our work is varied and dynamic, meaning we would equally welcome support from experienced, qualified professionals, as well as those with an interest in those areas who are looking to support or build their experience working as part of a professional team. All work can be completed remotely, so we are open to support from volunteers anywhere in the UK. The work may include some of the following: • Collect and analyse data to develop insights and recommendations for business decisions. • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for reporting and analysis. • Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness of reporting. • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through presentations and written reports.
Full training and support will be provided depending on which team you are based with and what tasks you are undertaking but in general, we are looking for people with the following skills and experience: • The relevant experience, qualifications and/or professional memberships for your area of specialism, where relevant. • Motivated to use your skills and expertise to Save Nature. • IT skills, report writing and data analysis skills, creating documents, managing spreadsheets. • Excellent communication skills for engaging with different audiences, internal and external to the RSPB.
This is a highly rewarding role and offers a chance to make a positive impact. You will be making a genuine contribution to nature conservation, so if that is your motivation, you'll find satisfaction in this role. This role provides an excellent opportunity to donate your time and skills to have real impact on our work. You will learn all about how the RSPB works and gain experience working for an environmental charity. We like to think we're a friendly and welcoming team, so you'll have the opportunity to make new friends too.
