RSPB Team Member (Loch Leven Reserve Creative Volunteer)
Are you creative and in tune with nature?
We are looking for a volunteer to create temporary interpretation along reserve trails that helps visitors see nature in a new light and help them foster a closer relationship to it.
Volunteers will be encouraged to use existing materials, including blackboards and chalk pens, as well as generate new ways to help connect people to the nature around the reserve, following the 5 pathways to nature connection.
The role requires a creative mind with the ability to design hand drawn/written blackboards that inspire people to notice the nature around us.
This can include:
- Creating imagery to draw attention to natures beauty
- Emotive writing
- Inspire meaning in nature
- Encourage sensory contact with nature
- Create compassion for the natural world through stories
This role also allows flexibility to suit your strengths in the way interpretation is designed and encourages new ideas. Knowledge of nature is not required but an ability to be inspired by nature is necessary!
The role will be 1 day a week but we can be flexible, please do get in touch with any questions!
This is a rewarding role that offers the opportunity to support the RSPB in a big way. You'll find satisfaction in making a genuine contribution to nature conservation. You will learn all about how the RSPB works and gain experience working for an environmental charity.
We like to think we're a friendly and welcoming team, so you'll have the opportunity to make new friends too.
