RSPB Team Member (Communications and content volunteer)
We are looking for a volunteer with an interest and specialist skills in media, videography and communications to join our Beach Nesting Birds team at locations across Norfolk/Suffolk. (Winterton, Eccles on sea and Kessingland)
This role is all about helping the Beach Nesting Birds team tell our stories of how we're delivering for nature at the beach colonies. This could be anything from
- developing fun and interesting narratives for short films,
- filming our staff and volunteers out on site,
- editing videos into their final form,
- writing blogs and
- creating social media content.
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
- Videography and video editing skills
- Experience of creating engaging communications content online
- Motivated to use your skills and expertise to Save Nature.
- IT skills, creating documents
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with different audiences, internal and external to the RSPB.
- Organisational skills.
- Own means of travel within the Norfolk/Suffolk an advantage but not essential as most of the role can be done remotely, however some travel to sites will be necessary during the breeding season April - August. Travel expenses will be paid.
A full project induction will be given.
