At the RSPB, we have made a commitment to enable more people from all backgrounds to act for nature. Our aim is to be a good place to work and to volunteer. To monitor progress we carry out annual surveys of our employees and volunteers. The aim is to celebrate successes and identify where changes might be needed. This role is about helping the team to analyse and report on the results from volunteers. You will be working alongside the volunteering development and market research teams.

The location for the role is flexible/ home based and you would be working remotely.

What you will be doing • Attend (this can be remotely) an initial induction and training session and participate in occasional skills development opportunities. • Categorise qualitative responses to open questions and reporting back on observed trends. • Analysis of quantitative data where teams have asked for further detail or to drill down to specific combinations of groupings. • Collaborate with your team to identify key insights of the results. This is a chance to use your enthusiasm whether it’s for nature, social research or for simply making a difference to provide important insights that will shape the future direction of our charity. This opportunity is suitable whether you have a lot of experience in research or are someone looking to get experience. You will gain insight into the perceptions and attitudes to volunteering with the largest nature conservation charity in the UK.

The skills you need • You will have a keen attention to detail with great organisational skills • Ability to work remotely and independently, though with some availability during normal working hours for meetings with colleagues • Happy using the full suite of Office365 including SharePoint, Teams and Outlook • Comfortable with data and numbers • Experience of (or interest in) market research • Experienced with Excel spreadsheets and manipulation of data
