Specialist/Expert Volunteer (Transformation Specialist Volunteer)

We are looking for a volunteer with specialist skills to join our Transformation team to deliver specific work packages to assist in progressing a range of organisational change projects and programmes.

This role and work packages can be tailored to suit individual preferences and skills, but will be focusing on organisational change initiatives.

The role will involve liaising with key stakeholders to explore new ideas and initiatives, identifying potential challenges, opportunities and interdependencies with other projects and programmes across our various delivery planning groups.

The role will involve, but is not limited to:

• Engaging with key stakeholders to collate information on RSPB project ideas and priorities, for analysis by senior managers and leadership teams, exploring the case for change and contribution to delivery of our Strategic Outcomes and Portfolio Objectives.
• Gathering information to inform development of requirements, business cases, commissioning briefs and projects plans.
• Identifying cross-cutting RSPB projects and making links between projects to encourage a joined-up approach.
• Supporting development and maintenance of the People Delivery Pipeline of key projects and programmes.

We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:

• Experience of working with multiple stakeholder groups.
• Experience of developing business cases and related documentation.
• IT skills, creating documents, applications, managing data across multiple platforms.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Full training and support will be provided to help develop your understanding of the RSPB portfolio management structure and project management framework.
