Available from 26 April 2026

Why run for RSPB?

When you run with us, you’ll receive support and encouragement from a dedicated member of our Fundraising Team. They’ll be available throughout your training to help you smash your fundraising target and will be your biggest cheerleader on race day! We’ll also give you an RSPB running vest, so you stand out from the crowd.

Whether you’re a fledging runner or hoping to fly around with a Personal Best, when you run the London Marathon with us, you’ll be raising vital funds for the wildlife you love, saving threatened species, looking after iconic landscapes and speaking up for nature at a time when it really needs a champion.

How do I sign up?

To have a chance of running with us, just click on the "Count me in!" link below, no need to use the volunteer application button. We will respond to all applicants by August 2025, to let you know if you've been successful. Please note that places are limited and not all applicants will be successful. Please, read our full Terms and Conditions here.

Each of our runners will have a fundraising goal of £2,500, so the form below is your chance to tell us how you plan to raise this money. All weird and wonderful ideas are welcome! Each successful applicants will be put in touch with a member of our Community Fundraising team who will be on hand to offer support and advise to help you smash your fundraising goals.

Count me in!

If you're unsuccessful this time, please don't be disheartened. We'd love to have you on team RSPB at another race - and we have access to some of the UK's most popular events! Check out our Race for Wildlife webpage or contact communityfundraising@rspb.org.uk for more information about races and community fundraising opportunities.

Already have a ballot place?

If you’re already taking part in the London Marathon 2026, we’d love to have you on Team RSPB! As a ballot runner there’s no fundraising goal - we'd love to have you join the flock whatever amount you hope to raise, and we’ll be there to give you our full support. But if you raise at least £150 for helping to protect and restore our amazing natural world, you’ll also get our very smart charity running vest.
