Join the Greening team as an Internal Assurance Auditor, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the RSPB meets the highest standards of environmental excellence.

**What will you be doing. **

As an Internal Assurance Auditor, you'll embark on a journey to assess and verify compliance with Green Dragon (ISO14001) and legal standards. You'll follow our comprehensive internal assurance template, asking insightful questions and making keen observations. Your findings will help us maintain our commitment to environmental stewardship and continuous improvement.

This role offers the unique opportunity to conduct audits both in person and remotely, providing flexibility and variety according to your needs. You'll collaborate with our Environmental Advisors to ensure the RSPB is not only compliant but also striving for excellence.

• Follow the internal assurance template to guide the audit process. • Conduct audits in person or remotely, depending on the type of audit required. • Ask questions and make observations as directed by the template. • Record responses and observations accurately. • Document non-conformities (NCs) and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) accordingly. • Assess if a site fits Green Dragon (ISO14001) legal standards with the support of the Environmental Advisors.
• Ensure sites are responsible for managing compliance and updating standards. • Prepare detailed audit reports summarising findings, Non-conformities, and Opportunities for Improvements. • Communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders.

**The skills you need **

• Certification in ISO14001 internal auditing or equivalent, or willingness to attend 24 hours of online training by RRC International.
• A base level of understanding, or willingness to learn, of environmental standards and regulations. • Excellent analytical and observational skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Motivated to use your skills and expertise to Save Nature.
• IT skills, completing audits online

Role to start from September 2025.
Complete 24 hours of online training provided by RRC International.
Travel will be required to multiple sites within approximately of Sheffield.

We will need applicants to be able to provide a minimum of 8 hours a month, excluding travel time, which can be split across the month.
On-site work and conversations with staff will have to be completed Monday to Friday 9-5 and for onsite work a minimum of 2 hours commitment is required. Completion of 5 audits per year.
Extra work, including preparation, report compiling, and document review, can be completed flexibly as desired.
