Local Group Volunteer Helper (Lancaster)

The Lancaster local group is the RSPB's voice in the local community. We have recently had a reboot and the group is now focusing on conservation and engagement activities.

One of these is Lancaster Swift City, a project that is trying to help Swifts, one of our most amazing species which is declining in numbers at an alarming rate. We are making and installing nest boxes, raising awareness and campaigning to help these birds.

We are looking for more volunteers to help us in the following areas:

• Organising and running engagement events
• Co-ordinating the making and installation of Swift nest boxes
• Promoting the group on our social media channels - Facebook, X and Instagram
