Whether you can give a few hours a month or more regularly, your time will help nature thrive — and you’ll pick up some great skills along the way!

What You Could Get Involved In:

  • Litter picks to keep our parks clean and welcoming
  • Removing old tree tubes to help young woodlands flourish
  • Building bird nest boxes and bee banks to support wildlife
  • Meadow raking and summer surveys (birds, invertebrates, meadows)
  • Assisting with or leading guided walks — including popular bat walks!
  • Helping engage school groups and local communities with nature
  • Contributing ideas for future projects like a community orchard or improving lake water quality

Why Volunteer?

  • Enjoy time outdoors and boost your wellbeing
  • Learn new conservation skills and gain valuable experience
  • Meet friendly, like-minded people
  • Make a real difference to local wildlife and your community
  • Flexible opportunities — you choose when and how you help
  • No experience needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved!
