Join Our Conservation Volunteer Team! Opportunities between Barrow and Kendal
Do you love being outdoors, care about wildlife, and want to make a positive difference in your local area? We’re looking for volunteers to help with a range of conservation and community projects across the beautiful parks and green spaces between Barrow and Kendal.
Whether you can give a few hours a month or more regularly, your time will help nature thrive — and you’ll pick up some great skills along the way!
What You Could Get Involved In:
- Litter picks to keep our parks clean and welcoming
- Removing old tree tubes to help young woodlands flourish
- Building bird nest boxes and bee banks to support wildlife
- Meadow raking and summer surveys (birds, invertebrates, meadows)
- Assisting with or leading guided walks — including popular bat walks!
- Helping engage school groups and local communities with nature
- Contributing ideas for future projects like a community orchard or improving lake water quality
