Practical Reserve Work (TWIG Elan Valley Project)
Would you like to help protect Wales's rare Celtic rainforests? Celtic rainforests are a unique habitat that loves the wet, clean air of Wales; which allow a range of scarce lichen, liverworts and mosses to cloak the ancient trees found here. The habitat is threatened across Wales, but helping out with our work party can keep these wonderful woodlands thriving in the Elan valley.
The volunteer activity will include removing invasive species and clearing undergrowth. A good level of physical fitness will be needed as we'll be working with tools and will be walking across hillside. Please bring appropriate warm, waterproof clothing, sturdy footwear, food and drink.
